......Beautiful to look at, great attention to detail with very cool metal and wood tailpiece. Purfling alternates
between Ebony and Boxwood. Looks like the prototype on the website, but a few subtile changes make it unique. As for the Sperzel tuners, they are great-solid, smooth, well made. Id rather restring a flathead over a
slotted head any day of the week. Its not tradidtional, but so what.Playability- Very even tone up and down the neck. Good separation. The neck has a different profile than what Im used to on my other guitars, but
its confortable and the action is about perfect using the John Pearse Nuages strings on it. Sound- Solid rhythm punch, but what really strikes my ear is the single note lines, especially above the fifth fret. They
just sing out and really cut through the rhythm back up.Octaves just blast out. I cant wait to hear this thing next year. Excerpt from a letter to Hot Club UK forum by Dr. Dave. Portland
I know that you are probably tired of hearing from me, but Ive got one you have to hear. Last night was the first job with this
combo....everything acoustic, small room.etc. Got to the job, the place easily sat 450-500, 30 foot vaulted ceiling, 24 ceiling fans, stone floor, windows all open..a damn nightmare! The sax player met me at
the back door and said I hope you brought a big amp! No amp; just me and # 396. Strings ( 10s) not new..Id have put on 11s and at least brought a mic. Figured Im 50 miles from home, so the only thing to
do is to pull out the Wegen Fatone and go for it. My wife said that standing in the back of the place which was packed with people standing up, milling around etc...we took care of business!!
She said the guitar cut through the people, the instruments and everything else. Single string got lost, but the chords sure didnt. We had a new bassist with a really loud 3/4 size bass. She said we sounded
really balanced together. I had people coming up and asking me what I was playing and where did I get it. One feller, obviously with huge pockets, asked if it might be for sale and laughed when I said I
dont think so. Thanks again. Don Patton, Rock Island TN |

I recently purchaced ( used but perfect) your Chackte-kuk and Spruce Belleville. At first I was FRIGHTENED!!!
Now, I am just plain in love! WOW! What an amazing instrument. This guitar has completely changed my attitude and my beliefs on what an acoustic guitar should be. I sold my ******, sold the *******, and I dont play the
*****archtop anymore. This is THE ONE!! Everything about this guitar is different from anything Ive ever played. The scale, the body wood, the neck dimensions, the flat fingerboard, the higher action, the lighter
Pearse strings. Thats why I was frightened, but the more I play it, the more it just melts into my hands. TONE....I could ramble on for hours. Im not really a Gypsy style player. Im into all forms of Jazz and this
guitar is the best in the world for all if them. DAMN this thing is sweet! Thank you and I hope to commission a personalized guitar from you in the future. Keep up the great work.Steve Rajski |

Small size Stardust prototype # 269 |

....This guitar has been my primary instrument for the past four years. I learned to play Gypsy jazz on it. I
schlepped it around the Gypsy camps of Holland where it ended up in the hands of such masters as Fapy Lafertin, Waso Grunholz, Paulus Schafer, Jan Limberger, and Martin Limberger. It held its own in terms of
volume and playability against Favinos, Selmers, and Busatos which were 2 or 3 times its price. Since Ive been back in the States, I have used it on scores of gigs with Pearl Django, Hot Club Sandwich and The
Djangomatics. While I was in Europe, I figured I would replace this guitar with a Eurpoean instrument. I went to all the Gypsy guitar dealers in Holland and simply could not find a better instrument for
sale. By pure luck, I found an excellent Favino here in Seattle which I couldnt pass up. Thats why Im selling my beloved Dunn. It has a lot of history to it and I couldnt imaging anyone not being pleased with
it. Michael Horowitz Seattle WA (exerpt from his ad to sell his guitar) used by permission |
