The Rhythm Futur model is my newest creation. It is Electro-Accoustic using a Highlander model IP-2 bridge pickup combined
with their Internal Mike. Output is through a stereo cable split into two channels in your amp.The body is smaller than the normal Maccaferri style. It is 17.25" long and 15" wide at the lower bout (44x38
cm).
The soundboard is of flamed California redwood with the body of 30 year-old Indian rosewood...which I cut myself in 1969. Note the back with its raised center panel and rounded edges - an absolute sensuous joy
to hold.
It has been constructed with maximum accoustic performance in mind. The pickup and mic being meant as the proverbial frosting on the cake...
As of September 2001, there are only 4 Rhythm Futur guitars in
existance. The fifth one is now under construction. There will be only these 5 built as a limited edition as the wood for the back panels is no more.It has its 32 year old Indian rosewood panels on the back and the
last of this cut of wood is gone,so the series is at an end....
There may be a Rhythm Futur ll in the ....you guessed it ...future.
