Mystery Pacific

This example has a blue tailpiece with a blue and yellow rosette. That�s my cat, Mr. Small strolling through the picture.

Ultrafox 2004 ....... Purple Haze

Being one of the most unusual Gypsy guitars on the planet, Purple Haze has her back, sides, heel, head, and neck are made of Ebony. The soundboard is made with bass and treble sides of different types of cedar. One Red Cedar and the other is of Yellow Cedar. The fret sizes are graduated in 5 different sizes  from wide ones at the nut to mandolin size at the top end. It has an interior soundbox and reflector. The Machine heads, nut, rosette, bridge moustaches and tailpiece are made of aluminum anodized in a fuchia colour.

A pair of 4 string baby Weissenborns.

I made these small Weissenborn type guitars for the young daughter of the great Indian slide guitarist, Debasish Bhattacharya. He started teaching her at age 3 1/2 years using the small one. It has a mandolin string length. At age 6, she graduated to the larger one which has a string length from the 5th fret �A� on a regular guitar.

Two Greek Bouzoukis

These are a pair of Greek bouzoukis. They have 3 double strings. The top one has its body made from Honduras Mahogany with a Maple neck. The other one has its ribs made from Padauk and Ebony with a Padauk neck. Both have spruce soundboards.

Sunburst Belleville

This is one man�s idea of a � sunburst � back. This small size belleville has its back in 15 separate pieces

Reso-phonic Baritone Ukelele

The back, sides, and top are made from Koa with rope binding all around. The coverplate is made from one piece of Indian Rosewood turned and drilled. It has a brass tailpiece and handguard.

Mystery Pacific and Belleville

The Mystery Pacific ( top) has Ebony back and sides with Satinwood purfling and trim. The Belleville at bottom has Satinwood back and sides with Ebony trim. Built as a complimentary pair in an opposite colour scheme, they both have Yellow Cedar soundboards.

Harlequin Bass Guitar

This bass guitar is the third member of the family along with the MP and Belleville just above. It has a 32 inch scale and has the body made of Satinwood and Ebony in Harlequin style. It has a Sitka Spruce soundboard. Note the screened port on the upper bout on the Ebony side.

Thinline Archtop Guitar

This electro-acoustic guitar has a flamed Redwood soundboard with the back and sides veneered in Brazilian Rosewood. The back is not arched but � flat �. The trimwork is all Ebony and the neck is made from Peruvian Walnut. It has a Benedetto 7 string pickup to cover the classical width string spacing.

Dobro

This Dobro model has solid Cocobolo Back and sides with a Douglas Fir soundboard. The neck is laminated in Honduras Rosewood Maple and the sides are plated with Ebony. It has rope binding all around and has a screened port on the lower bout on the bass side which faces the audience when the guitar is being played.

3/4 Size Belleville

This small Belleville has Pernambuco back and sides with a Blackwood panel . The join line is along the white sapwood line. The soundboard is Red  Cedar.
